Document Description
The project consists of approving a Minor Use Permit to allow the installation of a new 100’ tall telecommunications facility on a 40’ft x 40’ft concrete pad, on a 41-acre parcel. The purpose is to expand cell coverage in the vicinity to support existing agricultural operations and surrounding dead spots.
Due to the zoning being Exclusive Agriculture (E-A), this project requires a Minor Use Permit approval to allow the use of a Telecommunications Facility to be installed.
Telecommunications facilities are defined as an unstaffed facility for the transmission and reception of electromagnetic signals. The Minor Use Permit process allows staff to analyze a project for potential impacts which could conflict with other land uses in the area. During this process conditions of approval can be developed to ensure compatibility.
