Document Description
The Department of Cannabis Control, pursuant to authority granted under Business and Procession Code, Section 26012, approved a Small Mixed-Light Tier 1
commercial cannabis license submitted on 9/20/2022 by Sergio Gonzales. The Project will consist of cannabis cultivation on an existing site located at 1898 Peterson Pond Road (APN 166-150-06-00). The site is zoned Agriculture (AG: 160) and since 2015, it has been used as a vineyard. This site now includes cannabis production with no plans for future expansion. Activities that take place include cannabis cultivation, drying, curing, weighing, trimming, disposal, and storage. The project will be supported by two onsite groundwater wells, an ADA compliant restroom facility, and power provided by the local utility company.

The Department of Cannabis Control has determined that the project is a Class 1 Categorical Exemption project. Class 1 Categorical Exemptions consist of the operation, repair, maintenance, permitting, leasing, licensing, or minor alterations to existing public or private structures, facilities, mechanical equipment, or topographical features, involving negligible or no expansion of use beyond that existing at the time of the lead agency’s determination. None of the exceptions to this exemption defined in Section 15300.2 apply.
