Document Description
The geotechnical investigation is to characterize the subsurface conditions to support a seismic assessment of the dam. Soil samples will be collected from borings and analyzed to classify the dam foundation material. Soil boring depths will range between 40 and 80 feet. Borings will be backfilled with bentonite/cement grout as required by the Contra Costa County Environmental Health Department permit. Drilled-out soil will be disposed of at the appropriate landfill. The investigation is anticipated to occur in 2025 and is expected to take approximately one week to complete.
