Document Description
The project proposes to underground an existing potable waterline in the Albee Creek Campground area in Humboldt Redwoods State Park to protect the water supply and line from disruption or damage due to sun exposure, frost, and/or fire. A tracked backhoe will be used to excavate a 540-foot long, 24-inch deep by 6-inch-wide trench along the eastern edge of Albee Overflow Road and a 4-inch HDPE pipe will be installed and connected to existing water storage. Excavated spoils will be used to backfill the trench and protective barrier posts will be installed around an existing hydrant.
