Reasons for Exemption
The project consists of upgrading existing facilities (curb ramps and alley and drive approaches) as well as constructing new sidewalk facilities in locations where sidewalk does not currently exist, a new flashing beacon, and a new HMA pathway to provide a continuous and safe path of travel for pedestrians. These new improvements will take place on existing streets, would not create new travel lanes, and would not trigger any of the exceptions provided in Section 15300.2, nor would the project have any potential to create a signifcant environmental impact.
