Document Description
The Proposed Project includes structural rehabilitation of the LCI pipeline. The LCI pipeline will be rehabilitated using CIPP lining, a trenchless rehabilitation process in which a resin-impregnated liner is inserted into the deteriorated pipeline and cured using hot water, creating a new "pipe within a pipe." Because of the large size of the LCI pipeline, the CIPP liner will be inserted via approximately 21 excavation pits, approximately 15 feet by 15 feet and as deep as the existing pipeline, along the LCI pipeline alignment, spaced at intervals of approximately 2,000 feet apart.
