Document Description
The purpose of this project is to repair the brick pathway near the Fischer Hanlon House at Benicia State Historic Park to alleviate tripping hazards for staff and the public. Work will:
Remove bricks in a systematic pattern to track each brick’s original location within the pathway prism;
Use hand tools to add and tamp down no more than 1-inch of new sand to the underpath, at a maximum 2% slope, for no more than 600 feet;
Relay the bricks in the order they were removed; and Fill gaps with decomposed granite.
