Notice of Exemption

Exempt Status
Categorical Exemption
Type, Section or Code
Section 15301, Existing Facilities
Reasons for Exemption
The City of San Diego determined that the project would qualify to be categorically exempt from CEQA pursuant to Section 15301, Existing Facilities; and where the exceptions listed in Section 15300.2 would not apply. The project meets the criteria set forth in CEQA Section 15301, which allows the repair or minor alteration of topographical features involving negligible or no expansion of use. Since the project proposes a slope repair and revegetation to serve an existing residence and involves no expansion of use, this exemption was deemed appropriate. The site is not included on any list compiled pursuant to Government Code Section 65962.5 for hazardous waste sites.
