The Hurley Station Trenching project is located at the CAL FIRE Hurley Fire Station located at 25627 Auberry Road, Clovis, California, 93619. The property is characterized as oak woodland and native/non-native grasses in a rural residential area. Activities for the Hurley Fire Station Trenching project include 90 ft of trench at a depth between 16" and 24" to replace and connect a septic line to the existing septic field. The trenching will occur on previously disturbed soil. Spoils from the trenching will be backfilled after the new septic line is installed. No other activities are proposed for this project. The project is anticipated to take approximately 1-2 weeks to complete.

This project fits under §15302 Replacement or Reconstruction; Class 2 (c). The project activities would replace the existing sewage line and occur within previously disturbed areas. Field review by CAL FIRE staff confirmed that no exceptions apply which would preclude the use of a Notice of Exemption for this project. CAL FIRE has concluded that no significant environmental impact would occur to aesthetics, agriculture and forestland/timberland, air quality, biological resources, cultural resources, energy, geology and soils, greenhouse gas emissions, hazards and hazardous materials, hydrology and water quality, land use planning, mineral resources, noise, population and housing, public services, recreation, transportation/traffic, utilities and service systems, or to wildfire. Documentation of the environmental review completed by the Department is kept on file at the CAL FIRE Fresno-Kings Unit Headquarters office at 210 S Academy Ave, Sanger, CA 93657.
