The City of Santa Clarita is purchasing real property for the purpose of
establishing and fortifying a green belt buffer on the northeastern edge of the Santa Clarita Valley, consisting of approximately 457 acres of real property in the County of Los Angeles. The acquisition would preserve natural land from development, create more open space for outdoor recreation, and protect rare biological and geological regions, will contribute towards establishing a green belt from the north towards the east of the Santa Clarita Valley, and will enhance trail connectivity in the area
