Document Description
The Watsonville Safe Routes to School Downtown project (Project) includes minor infrastructure improvements near eight school locations in the downtown area. The Project purpose is to provide Safe Routes to School (SRTS) and to help complete active transportation corridors connecting Watsonville High School and its five feeder schools and two charter schools. The improvements include Class Ill bike routes, high visibility crosswalks, curb extensions, new or upgraded curb ramps, refuge islands and signs within the existing paved roadways and sidewalks. The Project would also include advanced warning pavement markings and site distance improvements including the installation of red curbs and trimming back vegetation.
