Document Description
A 500' section of Keys Road at the intersection of the UPRR railroad tracks, located west of Natomas Road and east of Pleasant Grove Road (approx. Lat: 38.79473*N / Lon: 121.50084*W) : Installation of a new railroad crossing system at an existing intersection that currently has no warning systems. Proposal includes repaving, aprons at driveways, and widening to 24' w/ 3' shoulders of the roadway and adjusting the slope of the approaches by adding fill for 500' on both sides of the track. The project is needed to improve safety of the crossing on Keys Rd in Sutter County.

The proposed improvements will allow for the installation of a new railroad improved safety at this existing intersection and does not have the potential for causing a significant effect on the crossing system at an existing intersection that currently has no warning systems. The proposal will allow for environment. Caltrans has already made a NEPA determination that concurs with this determination.
