Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification No. EPIMS-SON-50855-R3 pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the Pepperwood Foundation.
The Project will repair at least 20 headcut sites across a maximum of 5 acres of riparian and grassland habitat as part of a sediment reduction project. Headcut sites will be contoured using a rubber-tired excavator, lined with rock riprap, and backfilled with soil to create a rock grade control structure. Work will be conducted outside the channel to lay back the slope and place the rock with assistance from hand crews. No trees will be removed as part of the Project.

Reasons for Exemption
The Project shall not exceed five acres and will promote the maintenance, restoration, enhancement, or protection of habitat for fish, plants, or wildlife. There would be no significant adverse impact on endangered, threatened, or rare species or their habitat pursuant to California Code of Regulations, title 14, section 15065. There are no hazardous materials at or around the Project site that may be disturbed or removed. The Project will not result in impacts that are significant when viewed in connection with the effects of past projects, the effects of other current projects, and the effects of probable future projects.
