Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification No. EPIMS-SCR-21188-R3, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to Santa Cruz County Department of Public Works, as represented by Joel LaCagnina. Work at Eureka Canyon Road Post Mile (PM) 3.16 is limited to repair of a slip out along 18 linear feet of streambank on the eastern side of Eureka Canyon Road. The slip out damaged the shoulder, existing drainage system and undermined the existing guard railing. The proposed repairs include installation of a solider pile retaining wall and drainage structures. Work at Eureka Canyon Road Post Mile (PM) 3.36 is limited to repair of a slip out along 130 linear feet of streambank on the eastern side of Eureka Canyon Road. Repair at this location includes installation of a retaining wall and drainage structures. Work at Eureka Canyon Road Post Mile (PM) 4.67 is limited to the repair of a slip out along 20 linear feet of streambank on the southern side of Eureka Canyon Road. An existing crib wall adjacent to the road failure did not receive damage. Repairs at this location include extension of the crib wall and installation of drainage features. Work at Eureka Canyon Road Post Mile (PM) 5.05 is limited to the repair a slip out along 25 linear feet of streambank on the northern side of Eureka Canyon Road. Proposed repairs include placement of rock slope protection. Work at Eureka Canyon Road Post Mile (PM) 5.33 is limited to the repair of a slip out along 50 linear feet of streambank on the southern side of Eureka Canyon Road. The slip out caused debris and trees to fall down the bank. Repairs at this location include debris removal and installation of a gravity retaining wall.
