Document Description
The proposed project is intended to enhance habitat for California red-legged frog (Rana draytonii) and western pond turtle (Actinemys marmorata) by restoring three stock ponds at Rancho Cañada del Oro Open Space Preserve. Activities include repairing earthen embankments, adding or improving overflow spillways, and deepening ponds to increase ponding duration. Basking ramps for western pond turtle will also be installed, along with native wetland container plants and exclusion fencing to protect the ponds from cattle impacts.
