Document Description
Ocean Pacific Energy Company (OPE) will build and operate a retail compressed natural gas (CNG) fueling station on a leased 4.85-acre site. The station will serve primarily heavy duty CNG fueled vehicles. OPE intends to obtain primarily renewable natural gas (RNG) for most of the transportation fuel dispensed. The RNG will be transported to the fueling station through an underground utility pipeline, with onsite storage. The project also includes three natural gas microturbines on site that will supply all necessary electrical power to the project. Site operations would be consistent with the City’s General Plan and zoning land use designation of “General Commercial”. Primary beneficiaries include the applicant and the City of Blythe.
