Document Description
This 7.46-acre project was selected as a project site because of the potential to restore oak woodland and meadows for wildlife access. The current site conditions are overstocked with Douglas-fir on oak woodlands. The property is managed for mixed use of orchard/ crop production and forestry management. The project will remove encroaching small DBH Douglas-fir trees (8" DBH or less) to enhance oak woodland. The project will also create wildlife brush piles with some of the slash generated from the project, and chip and pile burn the remaining slash. (WCB Project Tracker ID: 2022065).
