Document Description
PG&E is proposing to install a gas rectifier on private property, along the southbound lane of Route 145. To do this, an adjacent 45-foot pole that is 2 foot within Caltrans Right of Way (R/W) and 16 feet from the Edge of Traveled Way (ETW) will be accessed. An overhead transformer and riser will be installed on the pole, with overhead 12 kV distribution lines remaining as is. Service cables will then be installed, first pulled down the riser and then through a proposed ½-inch conduit which will run onto private property where it will lead to the proposed gas rectifier. The gas rectifier will be roughly 6 feet outside of Caltrans R/W. The underground run will be installed via trenching (8 feet by 1 foot by 2 feet) and will occur entirely in soil. The project site is located along Route 145 at Postmile 25.73 (36.598402, -120.061504), between the highway’s intersections with West Dinuba Avenue and Manning Avenue. Traffic control will be not provided while performing the work. Shoulder and/or lane closure can be taken in accordance with Caltrans standard traffic control plan T-10 if determined to be necessary during pre-construction meetings. Caltrans would issue an encroachment permit to allow for the proposed work to occur within State right-of-way.
