Document Description
Caltrans proposes to remove and replace a compromised bridge hinge joint steel assembly (JSA) - (hinge 7 along the SB I-5 Bake Pkwy Off-Ramp). This off ramp bridge structure (Bridge ID – 55-0739K) and hinge location spans above a portion of an Irvine Spectrum parking lot Work includes removing the JSA and replacing with a new steel JSA and place rapid set concrete over hinge 7. All equipment will be staged off-site and a ramp closure will be needed during construction. Removal and installation of the JSA will take a maximum of 7 nights of work. No Disturbed Soil Area is expected. The project is funded with State funds only. No acquisitions or temporary construction easements are needed.
