Document Description
The Project would operate 9,000 square feet (sf) of new outdoor mature cannabis canopy cultivation and 308 sf of associated support structures on a 1.73-acre parcel within the Rattlesnake Creek watershed (HUC 12 180102120401). The Project site is zoned as Unclassified (UNC), and its Trinity County General Plan land use designation is Rural Residential (RR). Water for the Project would be provided from an onsite well. Annual water demand is approximately 157,500 gallons and onsite storage capacity is 6,000 gallons. An onsite septic system would serve the Project’s domestic wastewater needs. Access to the Project site would be via a private drive off Post Mountain Road.

Reasons for Exemption
The Department of Cannabis Control has determined that the project is consistent with the local jurisdiction community plan and/or zoning designations. CEQA mandates that the project is consistent with the development density established by existing zoning, community plan, or general plan policies for which an EIR was certified and shall not require additional environmental review, except as might be necessary to examine whether there are project-specific significant effects which are peculiar to the project or its site. The project activity fits within the parameters included in CEQA Guidelines Section 15183 and the activity does not require additional CEQA analysis.
