Reasons for Exemption
The project involves improvements to existing public facilities. The project involves no increase in capacity, serves built-out land uses, and will improve pedestrian safety. The project area has been previously disturbed and is located in urbanized areas. There are no unusual circumstances leading to a reasonable possibility that significant environmental impacts will result from the project. Therefore, the City finds that the project is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) in accordance with CEQA Section 15301 (c).
