Document Description
The Project consists of demolishing 13 existing classrooms, multi-purpose room, and administrative offices and replacing such buildings with: 6 general education classrooms, 2 preparation rooms, 1 science lab classroom, 1 engineering lab classroom, 1 media lab classroom, 1 culinary classroom, 4 life skills classrooms, 2 flex classrooms, 1 dining area, and corresponding site work, the creation of an outdoor learning area, upgrading the parking lot along Bernal Avenue, ADA access improvements, and hard/softscapes. The total square footage of the new replacement buildings is approximately 30,140 square feet. The total work area is approximately 110,000 square feet. Construction is anticipated to commence in 2026.
This Project will provide enhanced academic and playground facilities for the campus’ students and will generally benefit District students and the local community.

Class 2 (Sec. 15302): The proposed Project involves the replacement or reconstruction of existing existing facilities on the campus. Class 3 (Sec. 15303): This proposed Project includes the construction and installation of small new facilities, reasonable utility extensions, and accessory improvements. Class 4 (Sec. 15304): The proposed Project includes minor public alterations in the condition of land, water, and/or vegetation that do not involve removal of healthy, mature, scenic trees. Class 11 (Sec. 15411): The proposed Project consists of construction, or placement of minor structures accessory to (appurtenant to) existing commercial, industrial, or institution facilities. Class 14 (Sec. 15314): The proposed Project would be located within the existing school campus, a developed property within Pleasanton located in Alameda County, California, and will not increase original student capacity by more than 10 classrooms or 25 percent. Class 22 (Sec. 15322): The proposed Project consists of the adoption or alteration of educational or training programs which involve no physical alteration in the area affected or which involve physical changes only in the interior of existing school or training structures. Common Sense Exemption: It can be seen with certainty that there is no possibility that the proposed project involves any activity that may have a significant effect on the environment.
