Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification No. EPIMS-YOL-33096-R3, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to Kevin Towle (Permittee). The project is limited to the following activities: dewatering Touchstone Lake and removing accumulated sediment from the lakebed. The project will drain the lake by allowing outflow into the Reclamation District (RD) 900 pipe that is connected to the lake. Once the lake is fully dewatered, excavators will be used to excavate 3 to 4 feet down. Excavated materials shall be taken to an upland location, deposited, compact, and seeded with native vegetation. The project may build island(s) using the fill inside of the lake and/or place the fill and build up in the deeper areas of the lake on the west and east ends. Any fill inside the lake area will be secured with riprap, as appropriate, and native, aquatic vegetation would be installed to prevent future erosion.
