Document Description
The encroachment permit applicant, Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E), is proposing to perform work an existing utility line that crosses over Interstate 5 at the Utica Avenue offramp (post mile 12.03) in Kettleman City within Kings County. Outside of state right-of-way (ROW), PG&E proposes to replace pole #100693872, replace crossarm, connector, high voltage sign, down guys anchors, transformer and install bird protection. Work within the Interstate ROW will be limited to detaching and reattaching aerial wires and traffic control. No new infrastructure, construction, modifications of existing facilities, soil disturbance, or vegetation disturbance is being done or authorized within the Interstate ROW. Caltrans would issue an encroachment permit (06-25-6-TK-0184) to allow for the proposed work to occur within State right-of-way.
