Document Description
The project consists of improvements along multiple right-of-way corridors within the City of Glendale, including Colorado Street, Wilson Avenue, San Fernando Road, and Brand Boulevard. The scope of work for improvements to these identified right-of-way corridors includes: 1) selective removal, repair, and reconstruction of damaged curbs, gutters, sidewalks, driveways, cross gutters, and alleyway aprons; 2) installation of Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) ramps; 3) asphalt pavement grinding and overlay; 4) improvement of high-visibility crosswalk striping at intersections; 5) traffic lane striping and roadway signage; and 6) installation of rectangular rapid flashing beacons at crosswalks.

The Project is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) review as a Class 1 Existing Facilities project for the operation, repair, maintenance or minor alteration of existing facilities pursuant to the California Code of Regulations, Title 14, Section 15301 because the project involves repairs, installation of ADA ramps, asphalt pavement grinding and overlay, installation of high visibility crosswalks (paint/striping), and installation of rapid flashing beacons at crosswalks to existing right-of-way corridors.
