Document Description
The proposed project involves rehabilitating approximately 6,600 linear feet of deteriorating sewer mains and associated manholes along approximately 24 segments of sewer main at 11 locations in Sequel. The sewer lines and manholes are old, deteriorating, and at the end of their design life. The sewers will be replaced in their existing alignment or with minor re-alignments. Portions of the project will be constructed using trenchless methods including pipe lining (cured-in-place pipe), and pipe bursting to rehabilitate the existing underground pipe with minimal surface disturbance. Other portions will be constructed using open-cut trenching which includes saw cutting the existing road, digging a trench, removing the existing deteriorated pipe, replacing it with new pipe, and reconstructing the paved roadway. The project will require removal of two small street trees which will be replaced after construction is complete. Most of the project construction will occur entirely within the existing paved roadway. Portions of the project outside of paved roadways will result in minimal surface disturbance.
