Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification Number SJN-54943-R2, pursuant to
Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, Stockton East Water District, as represented by Darrel Evensen. The project is limited to the removal of the existing low water crossing, and the installation of a culvert crossing, and replacing it with a new culvert crossing, comprised of ten (10) box culvert sections. The new crossing will be approximately 12 feet wide, 8 feet tall, and 71 feet long.
The structure will be protected from erosion using 12 feet long and 8 feet tall, poured in place, concrete wing walls. Up to 0.01 acre of rock slope protection (RSP) will be placed around the wingwalls. A log boom will be installed just upstream of the new crossing. The log boom will be periodically monitored and cleared of debris. The existing, upstream earthen dam will no longer need to be replaced each year once the crossing is upgraded, reducing annual impacts to the watershed.
