Document Description
The Department of Cannabis Control, pursuant to authority granted under Business and Profession Code, Division 10, Chapter 2, Section 26012, approved a small mixed-light commercial cannabis cultivation license.
This project consists of establishing a cannabis cultivation in the unincorporated portion of Trinity County, near Junction City, California. The project is zoned Rural Residential 10 acre minimum (RR10). The site comprises approximately 34,800 sqft of total area, with a combined cultivation area of 14,350 sqft. Mature canopy is approximately 10,000 sqft, and immature canopy is approximately 4,350 sqft. The site is currently utilizing raised beds in mixed light greenhouses and hoop houses, see section 2.5 for additional details on the greenhouses and hoop houses. Support facilities total 1,890 sqft and includes a storage area/shop for nutrients and pesticides and administrative hold area totaling 1,250 sqft, and 640 sqft of secured storage in temporary metal containers.

Reasons for Exemption
The Department of Cannabis Control has determined that the project is consistent with the local jurisdiction community plan and/or zoning designations. CEQA mandates that the project is consistent with the development density established by existing zoning, community plan, or general plan policies for which an EIR was certified and shall not require additional environmental review, except as might be necessary to examine whether there are project-specific significant effects which are peculiar to the project or its site. The project activity fits within the parameters included in CEQA Guidelines Section 15183 and the activity does not require additional CEQA analysis.
