Document Description
The project proposes relocating the existing one-story Jackson Park Clubhouse approximately 453 feet west and 158 feet from the southern edge of Jackson Park to mid-block on Carolina Street, rotating the building 90 degrees. The project would set the building in place at the new location, square the building then raise on cribbing so that the new foundation can be built below the building (to accommodate the out of square and plane conditions that exist in the existing building). When the foundation is complete, the project would lower the Clubhouse such that it is brought down to grade on a new foundation with a crawl space. Rehabilitate the Clubhouse in the new location, adjacent to the new addition. In addition, the project would relocate and expand the playground on Carolina Street frontage, re-orient the baseball fields to accommodate the playground, and install new paving, furniture, play equipment, interpretive elements, and trees and plantings throughout the project site.
