Document Description
The purpose of this project is expansion of the Daugherty Hill Wildlife Area for long-range protection and enhancement of blue oak, blue oak-foothill pine, annual grasslands, and mixed chaparral habitats for black-tailed deer, California quail, wild turkey, black bear, mourning dove, gray squirrel and support special status species including golden eagle and mountain lion. The property is also critical winter range for the Mooretown deer herd, and protection of this range is imperative for the ongoing health of the herd.
