Document Description
The proposed Foxtail Hybrid Solar Project (Project) would construct and operate 55-megawatt (MW) photovoltaic solar generation facility and a 55 MW Battery Energy Storage System on approximately 450 acres of the approximately 4 75.5-acre site in Tulare County. The property is designated Valley Agriculture in the Tulare County General Plan and is appropriately zoned AE-40 (Exclusive Agriculture, 40-acre minimum). The project site is under Williamson Act Contract, Preserve No. 1047 and Contract No. 4538, and is in Zone A Special Flood Hazard Area per FEMA. The adjacent properties surrounding the Project site are also zoned AE-40. The Project would install approximately 108,344 single-axis tracker solar panels on the site. The layout of the single axis tracker panels will be in an east-west orientation. It is anticipated that the life of the proposed Project will be 35 years. In addition, the applicant will prepare a reclamation plan to be implemented after the life of the Project to return the site to agriculturally productive land.
