Document Description
The City of Ukiah is preparing the Ukiah Climate Action Plan (CAP). The City is preparing the CAP to address communitywide greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and the impacts of climate change. The City is committed to an emissions reduction target of 40 percent below 1990 levels by 2030. This 2030 GHG emissions goal is selected to be consistent with SB 32 State emissions targets and the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) guidelines for a qualified GHG emissions reduction strategy, and to be achievable by City-supported measures and actions identified in the CAP. To achieve that target, the City has developed 15 CAP GHG reduction measures related to building energy, transportation, solid waste, water and wastewater, and carbon sequestration.
