Document Description
The proposed Caltrans Safety Minor B project consists of upgrades to existing pavement striping, installation of Wrong Way signs on both sides of the off-ramp plus delineations and red-backed retro-reflective pavement markers on ramp limit lines at exit ramp, installation of signs and removal of shrubs on Northbound (NB) State Route 73 (SR-73) off ramp to Bonita Canyon Drive in the city of Irvine, County of Orange. Work activities include removal of existing signs and installation of new signals, removal of existing crosswalk markings and installation of new ladder cross walk markings, and installation of stripe pavement chevron markings at the gore area, and removal of bushes along left shoulder approximately 450 feet from off-ramp gore area. The purpose of the project is to reduce the number of wrong way entries into the NB Off-ramp to Bonita Canyon Drive by enhancing the existing signing and striping in the area of the NB off ramp. All work will occur in Caltrans ROW. The public benefits.
