The California Natural Resources Agency has approved funding for acquisition of real property by the Tamien Nation for the purposes of conservation and public access, subject to the requirements of the Tribal Nature-Based Solutions Grant Program. Funding will support the development of a new tribal land conservancy and planning activities, informed by inventories, including the development of a General Management Plan for the property and a five-year Strategic Plan for the Tamien Conservancy.
