Document Description
Ranger Station Road, the entrance to Ocotillo Wells SVRA's headquarters, has widened over the years and is now encroaching on the roots of desert ironwood trees. To protect the root systems of these trees, split rail fencing will be installed around them and large creosote adjacent to the trail. Up to sixteen small fences are proposed, with fence sizes varying based on plant sizes. Raking and decompaction work is also proposed 20' east and west of Ranger Station Road to pull in road base into the trail corridor, as well as realigning a small section of split rail near the district office. District standard project requirements have been incorporated into project design.
