Document Description
Caltrans proposes to stabilize an embankment that slipped out at post mile 10.4 on SR-116 due to recent storm events. The project will involve applying traffic control systems, removing dirt and debris from the slide, placing a containment plan, and installing an earth retaining system, drainage, RSP, and erosion control. The damaged guard rail will also be replaced. This emergency work is necessary to prevent and mitigate the loss or impairment of life, property, and essential public service. Delaying these repairs will further exacerbate the already apparent storm damage and predicted heavy and continuous rain events, which cannot be avoided, are expected to make conditions worse.
