The purpose of the project is to modify the vegetation along the state highway system to provide for safer ingress and egress of evacuating residents and responding emergency personnel. This project is needed to protect life, property, infrastructure, natural resources, and reduce the potential for fire spread from vehicle induced ignitions along the State Highway System.
