Document Description
The project proposes the installation of a new water well and support building in the Cuneo Creek Horse Camp Area in Humboldt Redwoods State Park to provide a reliable source of water for park visitors and staff. Work will: • Contract to install a 120-ft deep well; • Pour a 6-ft long x 6-ft wide x 6-in. deep concrete slab around the well head; • Install a small wooden structure, no more than 4-ft tall, atop the slab to protect the wellhead; • On the northeast side of the existing water plant, excavate a 20-ft long x 16-in. wide x 2-ft deep trench; • Install a 1.5-in. water line, a 3-in. electrical conduit, and a spare 2-in. conduit in the trench and backfill with excavated soils to cover; • Remove an existing wooden water plant shed; • Excavate and pour an 8-ft long x 8-ft wide x 6-in. concrete slab with 12-in. footings and install a prefabricated fiberglass water plant building on the slab; and • Connect the new utility lines from the new well to the new water plant building.
