Document Description
Verizon proposes to develop and operate a 57-foot high, unmanned, wireless telecommunication facility mounted on an existing 129-foot high, Southern California Edison transmission tower. The single-carrier wireless facility consists of three sectors with four antennas each for a total of 12 antennas, 6 remote radio units (RRUS), 1 microwave antenna dish and accessory equipment (i.e. battery cabinets, equipment cabinets, fiber cabinet, etc.) located at the base (ground level) of the tower enclosed within a 15’-4”x 15’-4”, 8-foot high block enclosure.

The Project meets the parameters of a 3 Class exemption which applies to the construction and location of limited numbers of new, small facilities or structures; installation of small new equipment and facilities in small structures; and the conversion of existing small structures from one use to another where only minor modifications are made in the exterior of the structure. Also, the exceptions listed under CEQA Guidelines Section 15300.2 (Exceptions) do not apply to this Project and as a result is exempt from further CEQA review.
