Document Description
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) has issued a District Director’s Order to construct a viaduct to address the failed crib wall due to the slip out. The project development team determined a viaduct is the best solution based on field conditions and past experiences in this area. The proposed viaduct will be approximately 240-ft long, 16-ft wide, and 2.5-ft deep, with 40-ft spans, 12 to 18 CIDH piles with an estimated pile depth of 40-ft. Scope of work included site preparation, removal, and replacement of asphalt concrete pavement, installing biaxial grid, traffic control, and incidental work.
