Document Description
The project will provide repairs and updates to residential structures SCR-CSV-1,3,4,6 and the laundry facility. The residential portion of the project includes the moving of interior walls, updates of bathroom and kitchen facilities, refinishing of hardwood floors, flooring replacement, replacement and painting of exterior siding, new insect screens, concrete, demolition, replacement of windows and other miscellaneous work related to the renovation process. A new water heater will be installed in the laundry facility. The project will occur within the operational zone of the reserve as described in the Land Management Plan and follow the goals and impact guidelines outlined in Sec. 4.6.1. The footprints of the structures will not be increased.

Reasons for Exemption
CDFW finds the Project to be exempt pursuant to CEQA Guidelines section 15301 Class 1 consisting of the operation, repair, maintenance of existing structures involving negligible or no expansion of existing or former use. The structures are currently used for housing of staff and the project will not expand their occupancy or function. The project consists of interior and exterior alterations including alteration of interior walls, plumbing, flooring, windows, and exterior siding, and the restoration of damaged buildings. The project will occur within the operational zone of the reserve as described in the Land Management Plan and follow the goals and impact guidelines outlined in Sec. 4.6.1 of the Plan. The footprints of the structures will not be increased.
