Reasons for Exemption
The City of San Diego conducted an environmental review that determined the project would not have the potential to cause a significant effect on the environment. The project meets the criteria set forth m CEQA Section 15305 which consists of minor alterations in land use l1mItatIons m areas with an average slope of less than 20 percent, which do not result many changes in land use or density. The project proposes to vacate a flood water storage easement, which Is no longer needed within a graded area. The project Is a mapping action and no changes m land use or density would occur. Therefore, this exemption was deemed appropriate, In addition, the exceptions listed In CEQA Section 15300,2 would not apply. The site 1s not included on any list compiled pursuant to Government Code Section 65962.5 for hazardous waste sites.
