Reasons for Exemption
The Class 1 exemption applies as the proposed improvement would repair and replace existing facilities at the campus and that would have the same capacity as the existing use. The Class 2 exemption applies as the proposed improvements would replace existing facilities at their current locations and have the same purpose and capacity as those existing. The Class 4 exemption applies as the Project would occur on graded land with a slope of less than 10 percent that is not within a waterway, wetlands, and/or areas of severe geologic hazards. Disturbed areas would be restored with new structures, pavement, and/or ground cover/landscaping. No trees would be removed for Project implementation. The Class 14 exemption applies as the proposed improvements would occur on an existing school and would not increase the number of classrooms or student capacity at the school. Additionally, none of the exceptions listed in CEQA Guidelines Section 15300.2 apply to the Project.
