Document Description
The Department of Cannabis Control, pursuant to authority granted under Business and Procession Code, Section 26012, approved a Retail commercial cannabis license submitted on 09/27/2024, by Crow House, LLC. The Project will consist of a retail cannabis facility located at 35871 Date Palm Dr (APN 687-060-043) occupying a 4,261-square foot (SF) single-tenant building on a 8,712 SF parcel within a Planned Community Commercial Zoning District. The project site previously operated as a cannabis activity site, under licenses C10-0000921-LIC, and C10-0000095-LIC, which are no longer active. The project site has remained vacant since. No expansion of existing structures is proposed. The existing 4,261 SF will be comprised of 1,197 SF for retail activities, a 1,003 SF consumption lounge, and the remaining 2,061 square feet consists of the restroom, vault, breakroom, and other ancillary space. The project site is serviced by public utilities. A total of 4 employees per shift is anticipated. Proposed hours of operation are 9:00AM to 10:00PM. Estimated number of vehicle trips will be 4-5 shipments per week.

The Department of Cannabis Control has determined that the project is a Class 1 Categorical Exemption project. Class 1 Categorical Exemptions consist of the operation, repair, maintenance, permitting, leasing, licensing, or minor alterations to existing public or private structures, facilities, mechanical equipment, or topographical features, involving negligible or no expansion of use beyond that existing at the time of the lead agency’s determination. None of the exceptions to this exemption defined in Section 15300.2 apply.
