Document Description
Nimbus Fish Hatchery will be building a shade structure on the north side of the visitors’ center that will provide cover over a patio with tables for visitors to enjoy. The project duration is estimated to last 3 weeks and will begin with prepping the bare dirt area on the north side of the visitor center building and on the east side of the ladder. There will be excavation for the foundation and footers for the columns for the shade structure. The holes for the footers will be dug 4 feet wide and 5 feet deep and reinforced with concrete. Additional excavation will be conducted parallel to the walkway running north to south to redirect existing conduit that powers the ladders sump and the light in the viewing area. A concrete pad will be poured over the footers and will be 40 feet by 40 feet. The shade structure will be erected on the concrete slab with 4 steel beams to allow for 80 inches clearance. The roof measures 40 feet by 40 feet and the total structure height with roof is 16 feet and 10 inches.
