Document Description
CAL FIRE would provide funding to Patriot Restoration Ops (PROPS) to conduct reforestation activities to accelerate the reestablishment of burned forest areas, reduce dead and down fuel loading, and promote resilient forest conditions on the Klamath National Forest in Siskiyou County. Treatments include mechanical and manual site preparation and manual tree planting. These treatments will reduce wildfire risks to local resources and community members, promote diverse forest structure, and aid in habitat recruitment to expedite the regeneration of healthy forests.

The proposed project was reviewed in its entirety under the Klamath National Forest Antelope and Tennant Fire Recovery NEPA Environmental Assessment and Decision Notice and Finding of No
Significant Impact, signed October 18, 2023. NEPA coverage for this project is 10,548 acres, with initial treatments at 1,292 acres.
