Reasons for Exemption
This project will treat areas less than 5 acres and is designed to minimize the risks and hazards associated with potential wildfire and threats to natural resources. Healthy, mature, scenic trees
will not be removed in this process. The construction of a shade house will allow the propagation and establishment of native plants for restoration work throughout the County. Enhancement of deforested areas with native species will increase biodiversity and compete with non-native plant species. There will be no significant
adverse impact on endangered, rare, or threatened species.
