Document Description
The proposed project plans to perform scour countermeasures to four bridges along the Fowler Switch Canal as part of the Highway Bridge Program. Each of the bridges have been deemed scour critical and require scour countermeasures, repair, and maintenance to extend the service life of the existing structures. The bridges each have exposed footings, and improvements are needed to prevent further scour at the bridges' foundations, control channel instability, and increase and protect structural integrity.

The subject application proposes to repair and maintain existing structures to extend the useful life and safety of the structures. Work is confined to the existing structures and does not entail expansion of the structures. The project will comply with all rules and regulations for air quality established by the San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District and noise established by the Fresno County Noise Ordinance.
