Document Description
In partnership with the City of Redding, Alan and Sherry Shufelberger will construct a sanitary sewer lift station to serve the Rancho Industrial Park at an increased capacity to accommodate wastewater flow from the developable area surrounding the development. Portions of the underground infrastructure are already in place, including a 22-foot deep wet well. The project includes the installation of a shade structure, concrete pad, control panel, generator, plumbing, electrical equipment, security fencing, and two access roads. Work will take place on City property and within the Rancho Industrial Park.

Class 1 exemptions include the minor alteration of existing public and private facilities, equipment, and topographical features. Class 3 exemptions consist of construction, conversion, and location of new small facilities, structures, and equipment. The existing wet well facility will be modified to accommodate surrounding development. The facility modification will result in a negligible expansion of use, while providing reliable service that meets public health and safety standards. The action area does not have significant values for wildlife habitat or other environmental resources and the project has no potential to have significant effect on the environment.
