Document Description
Social Good Fund, fiscal sponsor to the David R Brower, Ronald V Dellums Institute for Sustainable Policy Studies and Action, will present stories of “Deep” East Oakland communities through a collaborative process with community participants resulting in digital interpretive content that will be linked to, and identifiable on,14 physical signs along approximately 0.8 miles of the at the San Leandro (Lisjan) Creek Greenway
Trail in Oakland, Alameda County. The project consists of the following elements: conducting community engagement events; conducting community participant interviews; creating storytelling content; linking digital versions of storytelling content to 14 physical signs such that they are identifiable and available to the public; and developing and printing interpretive materials and maps.

Reasons for Exemption
This project is exempt under Section 15301 of Title 14 of the CCR, which exempts operation, repair, maintenance, permitting, leasing, licensing, or minor alteration of existing public or private structures, facilities, mechanical equipment, or topographical features, involving negligible or no expansion of existing or former use, including existing bicycle and pedestrian trails (Section 15301(c)) and maintenance of wildlife areas and stream channels to protect fish and wildlife resources (Section 15301(i)).
